remote help

i just bought a 05 sedona noticed that when i lock the doors with the remote that the horn does not signal that the doors are locked also the van doors do not lock automatically when you start to go forward my sisters sedona does all these what am i missing are is there a way to program mine to do the same??

There is no programming to these features. ITs under warranty. Take it to the dealer and let them deal with it.

dealer says it is working correctly but i dont understand why my sisters 05 beeps the horn to signal all doors are locked my does not.

WHen I get an 05 in here today I will check and see how the system works. It would not be the first time the dealer doesnt know how the vehicles work.

The remote on our 2005 only has the "lights flash" feature when the doors are locked or unlocked. Also our locks dont activate when moving in gear too, something we're not quite used to yet since we had that feature on our 94 Caravan

Programming Additional transmitters Kia Remote keyless Entry(RKE)
Up to 4 remotes can be programmed to the KIA RKE

1) Open the driver?s door
2) Turn vehicle ignition to ON position
3) Locate the programming button. Note: The programing button is attatched
to the Remote keyless Entry Harness next to the RKE module plug under the
front centre console. Reach the button from the driver?s side.
4) Press and hold the programming button 10-15 seconds, horn will sound 3
times. Release button
5)Press(lock button) on the new remote transmitter. Horn will beep 1 time
Repeat this step for any additional remote transmitters (up to four)
6) Turn vehicle ignition OFF. Test remote transmitter(s) for proper
operation.

These are the instructions for an 02...not sure if they changed to the above for 05.

Jump DLC pins (under hood) #5 and #17. Turn key, press lock button 2x on 1st remote then (optional) press lock button 2x on second remote, remove key, remove jumper. You're done.
