Re: How Fast R U?

I dont have a srt-4 but my friend just purchased one and it happened to be a niceday here in PA yesterday so i asked for a ride..i believe the yr is a 04 and its a stage 2.. so he's like let me turn the boost up for ya and i took notice to the nifty boost/spray/octane selectors factory installed..i loved it. so were about to hit the bypass first inline.. he launches at 2k and the car breaks loose like it was on ice..then he shifted into 2nd and it felt like we were still in first the way the tires kept filling the air wit smoke lol..neways we actually did about 156 mph until we had to brake for cars. i do own a honda but im a very open minded person and never had a doubt that car would impress the hell of out of me. so yeah 156 wasnt a problem and coulda reached 160 in 3 seconds if traffic wasnt a problem..by the way the cars stock with 2 new g/forces..yeah and not to hog this thread up..but he's been looking for a good race with a evo or sti, i told him he better make sure its from a roll

ok first call bs all you want. why the fuck do i need to convice any of you. you asked and i answered. i had most bolt-ons and no exhaust, plus the com which moves the rev limiter and disables the speed limiter. and as far as the quote up above....you seem to have a whole handle on things with that quote. the more power the faster you get to that speed.less power doesnt mean that you cant get there. also when you have enough road you can take any car to the redline. next time any of you bs callin shit heads wanna run your car to near readline you tell me what speed you hit then call bs if you want. that would be the logical thing right?

Re: How Fast R U?

i only call bs because you have provided no information regarding what is in the car. unless your making big power, tranny gearing or redline isnt going to help.

some people dont understand how much power is required to go that fast, there is a LOT of drag at 150mph

ok fine lets just say i had 140 whp it only took 140 to hit that speed. it hit redline in 5th when i hit that speed. i also like the "big power" you refer to.
the car goes what 130ish stock do you think it will just stop going after that no it keeps going till red line without the govenor. on stock lets just say it will go 140ish at stock redline. ok move the redline higher eliminate exhaust which gives you more highend power. and udp, intake, basic bolt-ons. 151 without issue. if you buy the com. that lets it go to 8100rpms you might be able to get a few more mph out of it. i understand what your saying that even if you have more band you dont necesserily have more power. but that is the speed i hit according to the cobras speedo. as i said before drive a car similar to that set up and see for yourself.

my new cars not finished yet and i dynoed 202whp and 191 a month before that. no spray on either run. don even have it installed yet

i can post my setup if you need to see that also because you cant seem to fathom a fast first gen.

im not even done with this car i need bigger injectors, boxstyle intake mani, install my new head several other things. its amazing what you can get out of a car when you have a standalone and an expert tuner.

I have seen and driven over 300HP first gen neons, so I know what they are capable of. I have just seen so many people claiming this and that just trying to sound cool. Some kid sees the Fast & the Furious and thinks it is real easy and then starting using "rice" math to estimate HP. I merely stated that it was hard to believe and asked what mods you had. Didn't hear anything from you for awhile so I figured your bluff had been called.

Re: How Fast R U?

HYPNO, stock srt4 makes more power than that, and craps out at 147, not due to govenor but due to drag. thats 250ft/lbs of torque. your making 100ft/lbs less. how can you go faster? math doesnt seem to add up, im not an physics major or anything, but i do build and drive race cars for a living so speed is somthing i know.
