'04 Limited RPM's Up & Down on freeway

Hi,

Curious if anyone else has had a similar problem. While driving at speeds of 50 mph and up the RPMs jump up and down. Am able to accelerate if needed but it is near constant at times and then stops for no apparent reason. Have taken to dealer a couple times and they say that there isn't a problem (doesn't happen when they take it out). Has been happening for quite some time now. Only 35,000 miles on it. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I agree with 454 maybe tranny possible TCC lcoking and unlocking or TPS going bad and getting burst of fuel.

When this happens can you feel the jeep lunging or anything, or is it only visual on the tach.
