Max size rim/tire for 92 Cadillac Deville w/o rubbing

im only 16 and bought a 92 cadillac deville...i wanna pimp it out a little and possibly want bigger/nicer rims...currently equipped with 205/70/15, would 20's fit? if yes would they even look good? or should i get 18's or just nice 15's? cant i get 20's with the same diameter as my 15's just with a lower profile? o yea, and how much does it cost to lower a car?

20's are too big, you'll either rub or have to do extensive modification to fit. 17's are the biggest you can go.

As for lowering the car, if springs are available figure about $200-$300 for springs plus $200-$400 for installation and alignment. Neither of the spring companies we work with H&R or Eibach offer springs for your car so springs may be tough to find.

That is not all true. I have a 92 cadillac deville and I have 20 inch 150 spokes on it, and they fit without any rubbing. All you have to do is get air shocks all around your car and go with a 35 size low pro tire. Now the air shocks adjust to the weight in your car to keep your tires from rubbing cause a 35 low pro tire is not cheap. so it is possible, as a matter of fact, i'm thinking bout putting 22 on my car. I just need to raise it up some and go with a after market spring and with the air shocks and it can happen. So man don't let no one tell you that you can't fit something on your car.

Sure, 20" will fit - provided you don't worry about such trivial things as overloading and tire failures.

the load rating on many 245/35/20's is over 1500 lbs, plenty to support the ~4500 lb deville

do a test fit. theres one on cardomain on 22s. if they rub you might have to use a 225/35 or 245/30 but i doubt it.

you're only sixteen and unless you have unlimited funds (ie: rich ass parents, lottery winnings, or inheiritance) you might want to stick to a smaller wheel, 16 or 17...maybe 18"...its gonna kill you when you have to put those nice little 15" stock wheels back on your ride when you cant afford the tires for those dubs.

I purcheased devino rims at a local tire shop. I paid $1700-$1800 for rims and tires after taxes. They told me that they will rub a tiny bit when they tested the fitment, but as long as u dont speed around curves or hit a big bump while turning, there is no problem. No reson to go fast with 20s on anyways... Show them bad boys off.

They are 245/35/20. Tires are expensive if u search online, but i went to a local tire place. (not sears or any big company that just rips u off) try to find a small company and ask for prices. I can get 245/35/20 tires for as cheap as $138 a piece. If u search online most websites are asking $350+ per tire.

My suggestin is to buy a wheel tire package to start... Its convient.

I say 20's will fit. If I had a lac. I'll buy some 14 inch or 15 inch wires on it.
