98 Kia Sportage EX leaking by oil filter area
Do somebody know how to replace the o-rings that are located between the oil filter base and the oil cooler in a 98 kia sportage EX???

I have changed several. This is not something I would recommend to the do it yourselfer though. You will be doing alot of this .There are 3 14mm head bolts that hold the adapter in place. They were put on with a 1 inch impact and five guys with a 40 foot breaker bar. They are tight. They can be removed it just is going to take more patience than most folks have.

I saw the 3 bolts and the problem is how to access one of them that is just below the motor mount. I think the only one way is removing this motor mount for better access to this bolt. What do you think?? |

Never removed the motor mount to remove this. Have always used a swivel and a socket. Like I said it isnt an easy job.
