1989 4.3tbi to 350

Hey guys i have a 89 s10 with a 4.3tbi auto trans. I want to swap outthe 4.3L and replace it with a 350 or maybe a 305. is there a specific year on the 350 that i can use or any? i have located a few. Can someone tell me what all do i need as far as mounts and wiring and if it is even possible? thank you!

you'll need motor mounts, the tranny will bolt directly up to the V8, you won't be able to run an A/C without some serious hell as far as fabrication. and in most cases you will need to remove the belt driven fan and replace it with an electric fan. I should know all of the details considering I've done this swap a few hundred times.

well being a tbi you need the moter and mounts, youll possibly need to cut your driveshaft as ive not yet had a tranny sit in the same place, you need a dinky radiator (aftermarket) and an e fan (taurus or my preference, aftermarket again) you should get the computer from a 350, but the stroke and bore on a 4.3 is the same as a 350 and youve only got 2 injectors it will run, just not the best, your distributor and accesories, including ring gear and starter should swap over, i suggest a tranny service while your at it, and summitracing part number add-713123 (bought a shit tone of those over the years) its your moter mount, its not fun, and its not easy, but its worth it, and being a tbi, some flat top pistons and a dialed in rv cam goes good in it

thanks alot. I wanted to put some new headers on the 350. Im shopping at summit will these fit in the s10 (HED-69520) and im picking this out for the e fan FLX-365. any last suggestions or advice?...this is my first motor swap

yeah, do manifolds not headders, unless you want to seal them up every 4 to 6 months
