1999-2000 Buick Regal Keyless Entry Remote

Just to inform people on Automotive Forums, I bought a 2000 Buick Regal Keyless Remote from EBAY like LAST WEEK and I was reading and some people said you need a SCAN TOOL or the DEALER has to program it for you, NOT TRUE, You can do it YOURSELF!!! I recieved my remote in the mail, EASY INSTRUCTIONS, followed them, and MY REMOTE is WORKING PERFECTLY!! SO if anyone needs the instructions on how to program, I will GLADLY give them to you!!

It takes literally SECONDS to program, WHY ON EARTH would ANYBODY pay a dealer to do that?? ITs a RIP OFF if you DO! YOUR CHOICE.

The sticky from Flatrater on programming remotes works fine a '99 Regal LS.

Not sure about a 2000. Post the procedure and I'll see if it works on my '01 Regal GS. If it works and free, I'm happy. Thanks for the info.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR:

1. 97 GRAND PRIX
2. 97-00 REGAL
3. 97-00 CENTURY
4. 2000-MALIBU

1. CLOSE VEHICLE DOORS
2. INSERT KEY INTO IGNITION, TURN TO ON
3. TURN TO OFF AND REMOVE KEY
4. PRESS AND HOLD THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCK SWITCH IN THE UNLOCK POSITION
5. INSERT KEY INTO IGNITION AND REMOVE
6. INSERT KEY INTO IGNITION AND REMOVE
7. INSERT KEY INTO IGNITION
8. RELEASE DOOR LOCK SWITCH (VEHICLE WILL SOUND THREE BEEPS TO VERIFY PROGRAM MODE)
9. PRESS THE LOCK AND UNLOCK BUTTONS TOGETHER ON THE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER, HOLD UNTILL THE VEHICLE BEEPS TWICE (ABOUT 15 SECONDS)
10. REPEAT STEP 9 WITH OTHER TRANSMITTERS
11. REMOVE KEY FROM IGNITION

THE STEPS WORKED FOR MY 2000 BUICK REGAL WITH NO PROBLEM! NO SCANNER NEEDED!!

WHY PAY SOMEONE OR A DEALER FOR A COUPLE SECONDS OF WORK!?!?

Those instructions work for every car using the ABO0204T / 10246215 remotes, which are usually 97-00 models.

just fyi, you should be able to program every gm car's keyless entry remotes up to 2002. after that a dealer has to do it or someon with a tec2

its exactly the same instruction that I have for my buick regal LS 2002

There are many GM cars with remotes that can be programmed by their owners after 2002.
