97 JGC Auto trans problems

We have recently had some trans issues w/ our 97 JGC;
- on occasion, the 2-3 shift does not occur unless u let off the gas, then get back on it.
- while sitting at a light, the trans feels like it wants to pop out of drive and the truck will shake a bit. putting the trans in neutral makes this stop. put it back into drive and give it some gas and its ok. this has only occured once or twice.

Both of these problems occur when the engine is cold and when fully up to temp. The truck has 130,*** miles on it and we have not performed any trans service since we have owned it other then topping off the fluid every once and a while. We will do a trans fluid change soon but any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. thank u in advance.

Re: 97 JGC Auto trans problems

I'd advise getting a power flush and fill of transmission fluid and also a band ajustment. SJ

Talking Re: 97 JGC Auto trans problems

Don't ya luv free advice!!!!! Here's some more,,,,, the first problem "could" be a TV Valve adjustment,,,,,second could be a filter issue "plugged"
A "super flush" will change the oil,,,,,,,,the filter WILL STILL be plugged. The reason the flush is pushed is they do not open the trans,,,thus cannot possibly introduce contaiminents into the system,,,,which leads to "It never did that before" ::er:: FREE TRANNY JOB!!!! What YOU got was some new oil,,,AND your wallet is lighter and the trans problem,,,,,,STILL THERE,,HMMMMM

Take it to a tranny shop usually will see ATRA member or ATSG member,,,
Have them do a fluid & filter service,,,,When the pan is removed you can see how much trash is in the bottom ,,,,,which will determine what REALLY should be done................
??????????When they do a "super flush",,,,, Do they fill it with"super oil"???????

Thing green,,,go yellow....E85
