Maybe I misunderstood your earlier post. I thought you meant that the engine provided no vacuum at idle and the vacuum increased at the engine speed increased. If you meant that there is no vacuum to the EGR at idle, then we agree. That is why I mentioned earlier that removing the vacuum line from the EGR and noting that the engine idle did not change did not point to a bad EGR valve. My mind was a bit exhausted last night (no pun intended). Sorry about the confusion. -Rod |
