Can someone point me in the right direction as to why my trunk is leaking water. I opened the lid the other day and water poured out, from under the carpeting, attached to the deck lid.

Re: 2001 Aurora Water in Trunk
I have read some posts for '90s Roras, where water got into the spare tire well, through cracks in the body. But GM changed the body style for the 2000 Roras. Does your Rora have a spoiler on the deck? I know its a little chilly outside right now. But you may be able to use a garden hose to track down a leak.

Re: 2001 Aurora Water in Trunk
Thanks for the tip. The car does not have a spoiler. I found out that this seems to be a common problem with these cars. They leak around the rear window.

Re: 2001 Aurora Water in Trunk
This EXACT same thing happened to us about a year ago after having to get a large scratch repaired at our body shop. I carefully popped out the plastic rivets holding the material to the trunk lid and found the lower drain holes were all plugged up. After unplugging them with a small screwdriver, I kept opening and almost closing the lid till all the water drained. There are channels in the lid that hold water so you need to really open and close (without locking) it till all the water is gone. Have not had a problem since. OOOPS!! forgot to tell you there are little rubber plugs in the bottom of the lid that need to be popped out.
