injectors not firing
I have a 1978 530I, 5 speed. I just replace the motor with another 530I the only difference was that the new motor came from an automatic car. I was thinking that the reason my injectors are not firing is because the injector are not getting the single from the fly wheel or front crank sensor. Where does an automatic motor get that single from and where does the wires get hooked to etc.

Re: injectors not firing
Early E-Jetronic cars get all their "firing" info from the distributor/igntion control unit...........see if your getting spark, if so, check your wiring connections (there's no difference between stick and auto's as far as the fuel inj. is concerned). Also check the "Combination" Relay mounted above the brake booster.
