let me know
i am gonna turbo my zc(dohc) here in a bit and was wondering if you guys could help me out with my problem. i just wanted to get your opinions on what i should run my boost at. specs you might need to know. i want to keep it a daily driver but dont mind if it takes it a little harder on the engine. its all stock. cant think of anything else so please help if you can and thanks ahead of time.

Re: let me know
Get it professionally tuned, and just tell the tuner what you're using it for (daily driver and running on pump gas). After that, they'll let you know how much boost you're running. The general rule of boosting a stock engine is 5-7psi, but that doesn't really mean anything since every turbo is different.

Re: let me know
me personally would run it at about 200hp and the psi doesn't mean shit since you didn't tell us the turbo you will be using

Re: let me know
well i was thinking of a stock first gen. eclipse not sure of the name but i think its a t25 but not sure. i was thinking about running at about 200hp too but not sure what to set the boost at to get those numbers. correct me if im wrong but the higher the boost the more power right. and dont worry im not going to go over 8psi for sure. but im gonna search more on it right now.

Re: let me know
the first gen is a 14b. it is alittle bgger than a t25. i would run a 48/60 or a 63/60 t3. the second is laggier but i like it more. i decided to help you out and take a pic so you could see the difference. a 14b would be a little bigger than turbo1 and a 63/60 would be a little smaller than turbo 2 but are close enough.
![]() and more boost doesn't mean more power. 15 psi on turbo 1 would most likely make less power than 8psi on turbo 2. lucky for you i am bored. here is a link for good deals on a bunch of cheap turbos
