Hi,
After my first attempt to mask and paint a Jordan 191 F1 car I found that after painting the green. then masking and paint the blue, there is a huge lip with the change of colours. Is the cause of this just that I put way too much blue paint on? And in future I should use very light coats until it is all blue, then 1 heavy wet coat for the shine correct? I think I get heavy coat happy sometimes. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks Werdy666

Re: Need some advice for my next Mask/Paint project....
If you have a "huge" lip, then you've probably put down too much paint. Also, the paint tends to build up along the masked edge, and is thinner elsewhere, so it just appears there is a huge difference in thickness of paint, where it's really just like that along the edge.
Carefull knock it down by wetsanding it, but don't go overboard and burn through or you'll have to start again. Then shoot some clear over all of it, and wet sand that so that the transition is smooth.
