Clutch Break In

I just had a new clutchmasters stage 1 clutch put in my vr4. I've babied the car for 100 city miles now and I was wondering if 200 city miles is good enough to be considered broken in.

Re: Clutch Break In

no, you want to do 500 city miles really babying it, no WOT, no launches. Alot of rev matching, not too much slipping.

Then you should do another 500 city miles starting to get on it, but still not going full force.

After the first 1k, you are ready for launches, and really getting on it.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
