My car's trade in value???

hi guys..

l decided to trade my car in.. one of my wife's dealership's owner said that that he would help us about it. his dealer is in FL. and l wonder how much would he ppay for my car..

My car has now almos 130k miles on it, with t-tops and metalic green color. and as u know just rebuilt the tranny and it has 1 year warranty.. and it has 1300 miles on it and l have new water pump (original) new heater hoses (original) transmission mount (original) kumho tires, still new (but they got no traction ) flowmaster exhaust. original brake pads for all wheels.. just machined the all rotors.. now the car has no mechanical problems.. l have some minor scrathes on the body but paint is still good and shining.. interior is not leather. poineer 8 speakers and they work great, seterio is after market single CD player. factory alloy wheels. new windshield wipers.

driver side power window is completely dead. and passenger side is about to die but still working.. A/C is blowing great but not making cold l guess l have a leak. these are the only problems. everythingelse is great.

l checked kelly blue book but l got some new stuffs on my car like transmissiion, water pump and other stuffs that l wrote above and thats why l cant get the real value.. so could you guys pls. let me know what the car is worth??

l live in Altanta, GA.

THANK YOU SO MUCH.. if you guys wana ask questions about it, l would like to answer them..

Sadly these things don't change the value.

What you saw on Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com) is probably a close estimate.

Re: My car's trade in value???

Trade-in value is always low.
The dealer offsets costs by giving you less money for your car.

but on autotrader.com l always check, carlike mine, formula with high mielage and they sell for 5000 bucks.. 5500 bucks.. 6000 bucks.. damn.. l hope l will able to sell it for 4500 or 5000 bucks.. we are still paying for that god damn car.. if we sell it for 3800 bucks we will lose 2000 bucks..

thank you so much Luos..

l will need your help when l get a trans am.. l dont wanna make mistakes again..

Re: My car's trade in value???

Well, I live in South Florida and around here those cars are going for over $5000. I would sell it outright because even if that friend of yours gives a good price to him, it wouldn't be a good price for you. Basically, even if he takes a hit on the car and gives you more than the average dealer would, it would still be a lot less than if you sold it outright. Put it in the autotrader for $5500 and see what response you get. The a/c not working and the windows not going down also is pretty crappy...especially in Florida where if its hot and you have no a/c AND you can't roll the windows down, the car is not driveable during the day. I would try and at least fix the drivers side window before trying to sell it. A/c being out hurts resale in Fl/Ga area too...again because of the heat. However, the tranny was just rebuilt and like you said there are no mechanical problems with it now so it is worth trying the $5500. I bet you get $5000 for it if you can hold out for a little while til someone pays that for it. Good luck.

thank you man..

my mechanic says, bring me the car and l will replace your both window motors today for 200 bucks.. l will get them fixed but l dont know about the a/c. if it costs more than 100 or 200 bucks, l will not even touch it.. well, tomorrow l am getting 2 motors l already bought from ebay and l will try to fix them by myself.. if l cant l will take it to my mechanic.. if my friend wouldnt offer me a good price l will try to sell it on autotrader.

thanks for the info..

take care..

Erdal..
