Head gasket problems? and Turbos?

Hi everyone,

I was talking to one of the guys at work and I trust and he claimed that I should not buy a PT due to they are notorious for having head gasket problems?

Also I know they have 3 diffrent HP's for this car the 150 the 180 and I believe the 220. I would usually be the only person in the car but once in a while would be carrying some heavy DJ gear around usually around upto 400 lbs with the rear seats and front pass. seat down is the 150 HP gonna be enough or should I look at one of the other engine options, plus it will have to be a used car I cant afford financing as I make maybe 200-250 every 2 weeks and with college expenses and all.

Anyway I really like the car but after hearing about the head gasket and burning oil ect. I an getting kind of nurvous and wondering if I should just go for a used Cherokee, CRV or even a Rav 4.

Please help ease my mind if this is a false or not common thing. I like the car but wont buy 1 if its going to give me headaches right off the bat.

Thanks,

Joe

Re: Head gasket problems? and Turbos?

I've read a bunch about PT's, including all the forums and have seen or heard nothing about head gasket problems. I ordered a new PT GT Convertible last week and have no concerns.
