boost problem please help me
ok well im dealing with another problem with my z,
Ive recently had the car completly tuned up , even put a brand new exhaust and high flow cats on it and the hks alc transmission unit., ok well heres the problem. I got the hks evc boost controller and im running 14psi, with my stillen ecu and intake and exhaust. coming off a dead stop when i floor first gear boosts perfectly all the way to 14 and then my tires spin as i come outta first, then thats when the trouble starts, coming out of first my boost drops to anywhere from 2psi---9psi and it struggles to get higher then that, for example coming out of first gear if the boost drops to like say 6psi, it will struggle getting past mid 7psi. on the other hand sometimes i wont have this problem and my car will boost fine, but 90% of the time i loose my boost in 2nd. by the way my car is automatic so isnt it supposed to hold the boost when it shifts?

Re: boost problem please help me
sounds like
exaust leak-problem with the turbo-hole in a vaccume line With an exaust leak, first would go by fast enough it wouldnt have time to drop also you might have a problem with your wastegate, it may get stuck. The actuator arm may be having problems too.

Re: boost problem please help me
trans could be slipping also...but check the obviou first. check out TwinTurbo.net and go to the FAQ section. there should be plenty of info over there to help you diagnose your problem...
