whole lotta electrical problems

alright, so for any of you who feel the need for a challange.. here's a good one for you guys. I have a 2001 eclipse RS and when I bought it, I checked everything and it all worked fine. so I'm driving it back home ( 6 hour drive from where I bought it) and the cd player kicks out, and the clock pod goes with it. kicks back in like 40 min later. and its done it like... 6 times in the past 2 months, the last time it kicked out for a couple days. so I'm thinking the relay or something is messed. So then, I took apart my dash to throw some led's in it and after I put it all back together, my gas gauge was reading empty. I reseated the connections to the gauges and nothing. then I realize that not only is my gas gauge no longer working, but pretty much the whole driver's side of the car. my driver's side driving lights dont work, my headlights do and so do the turn signals. and even the center dash is out in some parts. only the left side again... it actual has no backlighting for the heat control and half the numbers on the fan speed... so um ya. I've checked every fuse I can find in my car, none are blown. and if you guys think it had anything to do with my led installation... I ran a power wire staight off the battery to a switch and then to my led wires and grounded on the cars frame with resistors. the only thing I can think of that I did stupidly was when I took my battery post off to clean it, my bro had the acc turned on and I arced between the post and wire a few times. so if anybody has any ideas where to start with this, or if u want anymore info about whats going on, I'm happy to do my best. I'm pretty sure the cd player is a seperate problem from my lighting problems. so thanx in advance to everybody who reads this. I know its long.
