Tips for 5.2l V8 distributor cap r&r
Just wondered if anybody has any smart tips for getting the distributor cap off a 95 jgc 5.2l v8. I can't even see the screws holding it down.
If I had noticed the placement before I bought the thing I might have gone for the i6. Also the replacement rotor and cap I bought were from Standard. They look and were pretty cheap. Should I get mopar parts or will the Standard parts last. I don't want to EVER have to replace them again. |

Well it's not all that bad.....lol
remove all the plug wires from the cap and set them out of the way. And using a 1/4" socket, universal and extensions, remove the 2 bolts holding the cap on. Getting it out is a lil bit tricky, you will have to move some thing out of the way and pull it up on the passengerside of the throttle body. distributor cap firing order: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 Plug order: Driverside front to back: 1-3-5-7 Passengerside front to back: 2-4-6-8 |
