Re: Diagnostic Tool - Best one for the money
For the 91 there's several tool you can get. If you want something that does more than just engine diagnostics, Actron has a scan tool for OBD1 that also serves as an ABS diagnostic. It runs for about $30. They also carry a plug tool thats nothing more than a piece of metal thats cut to fit the diagnostic ports. It runs a couple dollars. You can also go the cheap route and either use a paperclip, or piece od solid wire like a thick gauge single strand copper. They will all work the same for running diagnostic.

Go to autozone.they will give you a free key to test it all.Don't bother paying the 30.00.Or,just take it to them, they'll scan it for free.Trust me,the 30.00 tool is a waste of money.

Re: Diagnostic Tool - Best one for the money
actually the 30.00 tool is quite useful for multiple things. Depending on your needs. On top of reading engine diagnostic codes, you can use it for your ABS system, and for certain transmission codes like saturn. If you just need an engine diagnotsic code then you can use the paper clip method and get diagnostic code results online.
