rear speakers in a '95 corolla?
I've recently been looking to upgrade the sound in my '95 Corolla- I got a new player and better front 4" speakers. I was going to get subs, but I seriously doubt that 4" + subs will sound nearly as good as if I had some nice 6 1/2" speakers- which, according to everywhere I check, my car SHOULD have two 6 1/2 rears, but.. it doesn't.
Is it possible to add them? Cut them in the back? How difficult would this be, and would it be easier/safer to just get it professionally done? |

Re: rear speakers in a '95 corolla?
I agree, man. In a situation like this, DIY is one of your best friends. This doesn't mean to hack up your whole car, but just figure out something that works using the tools you have. "Professional" usually means "a ton of money for something you could have done your self with simple hand tools...which apparently you don't have" in a case like this.

Re: rear speakers in a '95 corolla?
I have a '95 so maybe I'll take a look... but I have a feeling that yes the rear speakers are 6.5" oval, but they're in a kind of adapter tray that is inside a standard 6x9 opening --or-- there are holes for the 6x9 mounts because maybe it was an option, but the opening is not fully opened up...
I'll report back... maybe w/images... brb. |
