Radio Code Wizard - Not! (I'm toast.....)

Just replaced a battery in my used 2000 Montero Sport and the radio displayed a CODE message. We didn't have a code or a manual, so "Einstein" here starts playing with some buttons. Now the radio displayed OFF and won't even come back on. Anyone that can bail me out? What to do when the radio has been put in the OFF mode? Also, the radio is a Mitsubishi Electric Model # MR 472957, Ser. # 05174243 C (has CD Player, No Tape) if anyone can help with a code # for this unit.
Thanks...

Re: Radio Code Wizard - Not! (I'm toast.....)

Thanks for the info on getting the radio back into CODE mode instead of OFF mode. We just need to find out where to go to get a code for this radio and we then see if music is in our future again! Help, please!!!

Only the dealers have that code. To reset the radio, disconnect the battery again.

Only the dealers have that code. You'll need your VIN to get it. Some charge for it, but some dont. To reset the radio, disconnect the battery again.
