ecu,need help bad

If I buy another ecu for the 1ggte that is the same year and the same pins as my 7mgte wiring harness, will the 7mgte harness work with my 1ggte motor and ecu. See I have the ecu and the wiring harness that came with the 1ggte that I bought, but it has a different number of pins and the plug that are under the dash of my 88 supra have different ends then the ones on the 1ggte harness that I have now.I have seen ecu's on ebay for the 1ggte that has the same number of pins as the old 7mgte ecu and harness that I just took out.If these other ecu's will not work, then how do I wire the plug under the dish into the 1ggte harness?

Quit trying to salvage the old harness. Go in and put the correct harness and ECU in already. They are not interchangable. Used engines come with the ECU and harness for a reason. Why are you trying to do things the hard way?

Are they on the old harness or the new one? Are all your ECU connections made? If so, they maybe the body harness connections. There is a junction/relay block in the passenger foot well. There may be some wires, such as the starter wire, that may need to be spliced in.
