is their a good guide for power steering removal, 3rd gen

its kind of outta no where, but i have decided to lose it. im in the middle of replacing the radiator, intercooler, and have already removed the a/c minus the pump. well i may as well get rid of the p/s too. i wont have to buy a new belt bla bla and it will just free up space and all.

and im aware the best idea is to switch to an actual manual steering setup, but im looking at just removing everything and doing the "loop" thing or whatever. thats the thing, i want more details on that, ive been looking around all day. not too too much out there. and im not too knowledgable on this procedure, as ive never really considered it much before today! but may as well do it while its all empty!

There was a write up on how to convert a p/s rack to manual for an fc on here somewhere, I would assume it would be close to the same on an fd. I've got the page saved somewhere I'll look to see if I can find it.

Re: is their a good guide for power steering removal, 3rd gen

yeah im aware of that, the problem is the steering ratio is way different. its something like 20:1 (if i remember right) on the fc and its 14:1 on the 3rd gen. i think i may just keep it for now and get of my lazy ass and just buy a new belt.
ill consider it again maybe when i go single or something! thx for the reply buddy
