neon cd-changer help

I have a 96 plymouth neon sport coupe, and when i got it there was a cd changer in the trunk, with the wire already connected. however, it didnt work at all and i disvcovered it was not plugged into the back of the factory radio. i plugged it in (8-pin) and it still will not work. my radio has the cd changer controls (mode, disc select, etc.), but when i press mode it will nto switch to cd, only back and forth between am and fm. also, the cd changer does not eject when i press eject. do i need an adapter or something? the changer is a Blaupunkt CDC-RF6.

You probably need a different plug or some type of an adapter as you stated. I don't think the 96 factory radio was CD changer compatible.

Can you get a picture of the radio and the back part of it? I am interested to see it.
