Rear Clicking Noise
I've started noticing that when I start rolling slowly, that there's a clicking sound coming from the rear. Sounds like something's on the axle and hitting the wheel well because the faster I roll, the faster the noise. I checked and couldn't see anything. I know it's coming from the rear, so CV joints are out of the picture. Anybody having/had the same problem?
[Side note: Josh and Shpyder, you guys are doing a great job cleaning up the forum]

Re: Rear Clicking Noise
Did you check inner and outer joints? The cv joints would be my first guess. It has to be something rotating. How about bearings? Or something brake related?

Re: Rear Clicking Noise
i was thinking brakes because I think the rear right caliper is shot. The same one went out on my Eclipse, so I got a new one. I'll try replacing it and see what happens. Until then...still stumped.

Re: Rear Clicking Noise
I've got my money on the bearings. Same exact thing happened in my dad's 944 years ago and it was just a bad bearing.

Re: Rear Clicking Noise
It doesn't happen when I brake, only when I'm rolling in a parking lot, or somewhere else where I have to drive slow. When I took it to a tire shop a little while back I asked them to test drive it because I replaced one caliper and possibly got air in the line and the brakes had little resistance at first. They said it felt like the wheel bearing which didn't make sense to me; that a wheel bearing would affect the hydraulic part of the brake. But I'll check into it tonight.

Re: Rear Clicking Noise
i had a problem something like this, it would make a "thumping" or "clacking" noise every once in awhile. turned out to be the rubber bushings on the lower control arms were wore out and it was banging metal on metal. i'd check everything related to suspenstion and make sure nothing is loose/wore out.
