Tires: Fuzion ZRi vs. BFGoodrich g-Force Sport
Alright...im in the market for some descent, relatively cheap rubber. Ive pretty much got it narrowed down to the Fuzion ZRi (by Bridgestone / Firestone) and the BFGoodrich g-Force Sport. The price is essentially the same.
Im looking for some meaningful rewiews, which is not what i found on tirerack. i dont wanna hear some retard in a civic complaining that theyre bad in the snow. ![]() so, any of you guys have experience with either one of these tires? Ive got a lightly modded 93 VR4 thats only driven in the summer primarily in dry conditions, but im sure ill be caught in rain now and then. My main focus is handeling and treadlife, comfort and roadnoise are not priorities. thanks for any feedback guys |

Re: Tires: Fuzion ZRi vs. BFGoodrich g-Force Sport
Car and Driver just did a big test of the top 11 tires. I'll give you the listing. All tires were used on the new BMW 325i, tested on both wet and dry autocross, brake tests from 50mph, and lateral g's.
11. Kumho Ecsta MX- .92g, pretty good in dry, but terrible in the wet. $136 10. BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD- Outstanding performance in the dry, horrible performance in the wet. Posted a .95g, the highest in the test. $169 9. Bridgestone Potenza RE050A-Much better in the wet than BFGoodrich. Placed third in wet autocross and skidpad. $178 8. Toyo Proxes T1R- Never placed higher than 8th in any test. $135 7. Pirelli P Zero Rosso Asimmetrico- mid-pack, second to last in dry-lateral g's, Nothing particularly strong or weak in its performance. $152 6. Dunlop SP Sport Maxx- Beat the Pirelli by 0.1 point. Has a "proper combination of direct feel and firmness". $165 5. Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212- Has one feature the others don't- $99 price tag. Ties for second place in lateral g's with a .94, third place in dry autocross, but wet-track times are below average. 4. Michelin Pilot Sport PS2- Better than average, second in both wet and dry braking. Crisp turn in, but the performance costs you $179 3. Yokohama Advan Neova AD07- Fastest in the dry autocross, shortest stopping distance, very grippy, recovers quickly after losing grip$175 2. Continental ContiSportContact 2- Didn't feel as sporty on dry surfaces, but had a high tread wear grade, and performed well in the wet.$146 1. Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3- All around high-performance of this tire can't be beat. .94 on the skidpad, many favorable comments. In the dry, it performed with the other top tires(BFG and Yokohama). $145 Hope that helps ya out and gives you more options.

nice find. Also you should check out the wheels and tire section on 3si. There is one on here as well I believe. I got some pretty helpful info when I was looking for tires for my gf's car.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical. |
