1995 88 3.8 K engine, starter wont crank

Removed starter and cleaned terminals, I jumped starter soleniod from battery. It seemed to work. I installed starter again, turned key to crank position, there is clicking from relay centre on firewall but starter is silent. If there is no power going to the starter, what do I do next. Please give locations of where and what to look for, thanks.

In my experience that when the starter clicks it means the battery is low, and doesn't have enough juice to get the starter going. You might need to have to replace that relay that is clicking, just a thought.

Does the security lite stay on?

The security light does not stay on, the information centre says HOT-AC disabled. I also noticed the heater fan does not work with the key in the forward position.I have a Haynes book, in the starting and charging system it shows a (starter enable relay)(starter enable relay control) under this it has (PASS-KEY11 decoder module.)(pass key fuel enable) I cant tell where to look for these from the schematics.The fuel pump is working, I can hear it. Is this what I should be checking out(the starter enable relay etc.) or am I way off base? I just dont know where to look, no owners manual.

Check the + battery terminal (duel wires ) one is for the starter,a common problem, Good Luck
