anyone ever tighted their belts(on car!)
yea has anyone ever tighted their belts... sometimes mine likes to squeel when i have all my lights and system on and it sucks cause u dont look cool when u squeal

Depend which of the two belts your talking about, The belt that runs on the crank pully the A/C compressor and the altenator on the tentioner is on the alternator. You'll see a long bolt that goes into this little rectangle nut type thing that attachs it to the tensioner. If you want to tighten this one you must loosen up you main alternator bolt ( long bolt that attaches it to the block) and the tensioner rectangle bolt thing and pull up on the alternator until the belt goes tighter, then tighten the rectangle bolt thing again and that will hold it in place, then tighten the altenator bolt and use the long bolt on the tensioner to do minor adjustments, don't use it for major adjustments because the bolt will get strssed and then snap, and then you not going anywhere.
Sorry its so damn confusing but i can't expalin it any better right now, its sad but i know exactley waht i'm talking about. As for the other belt the tensioner is on the water pump i believe but i have never done this one, but i assume its pretty much the same proccedure. :bandit:
