wow...deep dish wheels look weird on the Z31.
overall that car is awesome...could use some 87+ taillights.

imo digidash is complete garbage... the swap isn't THAT difficult, i think it just involves removing the dash.. that and it's pretty time consuming, but a good weekend project... anyway, check this out for the swap procedure...
you could also try running the 'digidash diagnostic' on the thing, but if you're saying it's not working at all, then it's most likely the power transistor/relay thingy that always explodes on them... if it were me i'd swap out the digidash for analogue, and it'd be the first thing i did to the car... anyway that's one Supah sexy early z31, any idea what steering wheel that is? i'm in the market for a new one... along with every single other interior part known to the z31 lol...
