AUX on radio?

How do you connect in to the radio to be able to use the AUX input? Is it just a plug on the back of the radio, and if so, is it a standard RCA or 1/8" plug, or proprietary GM?

I would like to be able to connect my mp3 player, dvd for the kids, etc., and a forum search didn't turn anything up.

Thanks!

Thumbs up Re: AUX on radio?

It all depends on what year your vehicle is. Depending on the year, there is a device made by PIE, GM9-AUX, that is able to connect to some of these GM factory radios. Do a Google search for "GM9-AUX" and you will see what I am talking about, or check this out. http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piegm9aux.html

Sometimes you can find them or similar on ebay for cheaper. I have one in my '00 Sierra and it works great. I use it to listen to Sirius satellite radio. Good Luck.
