1985 735i fuel pump/relay problem?
I removed my gas tank to replace all the hoses as they were rotten.
Found out later I could have replaced them without removing the tank. I turned the tank upside down to drain all the gas before re-installing it. Now the in-tank and outside tank fuel pumps do not function. I think it may be the fuel pump relay, but I can't locate it as I don't know what it looks like (the book says it's on the cowl)? I only measure .5 volts at the connector to the in-tank pump. Same .5 volts at the fuse which is good. HELP would be appreciated very much. Mike |

Re: 1985 735i fuel pump/relay problem?
i dont off the top of my head.. do youhave a repair manual ?
otherwise you can kinda cheat the system ... go to autozone and purchase one and then test it and if it makes a difference than keep it otherwise return it .. make sure its autozone though because they 99% of the time have hassle free returns .. just dont scuff it all up and make visible damage ... |
