license plate lights out

I have a new one today. Can't get my rig inspected due to rear license plate lights being out. I have good bulbs but no juice to the rear. Any ideas on where to start? Can I tie them into a hot runing light in the rear for a quick fix to get a new sticker?

thanks

Re: license plate lights out

The wire doesn't go very far until it jouns your tail light wire. Just trace it, and see if there is anything obious.
But do check the ground first, they are in a high corrosion area.
