I bought a 2000 VW Beetle Turbo a few months ago. After driving about a week the red hot light comes on. We check and the antifreeze is low. We have added up to three quarts at one time. This continues weekly. At times The hot light comes on even when the car is cold and just cranked. The car runs great other wise.
Please help. Deborah |

Re: 2000 Beetle Turbo loosing anti-freeze
sounds like a bad waterpump. the coolant is boiling and overflowing in the resivour, thats why you are loosing some. Its a VERY common problem and you should get it checked out at a vw dealer quick as a stuck water pump can cause the timing belt to size and break (not good $$$$)
