New to the Eclipse

Hey, I just got a 2000 Eclipse GT 5 Speed. I am wondering if anyone could help me with some ideas for performance mods. Whats the best things to do starting out?

Im Blake, I want to get more power for cheap. Maybe 2-3 thousand dollars.

Welcome to the club. Check out the first thread in this forum, it has everything you need to know and more about modding our cars.

For 2-3 thousand would put me in a difficult place. Reason being, for like 1 thousand more you could do a sweet ass turbo kit, you might even be able to make one work with the 3 you want (however, there are extras that you may not be able to get to really make the power). You have to remember that when you make power you also have to make everything else work better to keep up with it. Before you make big power you need big brakes, big tires, and beefed up LSD and suspension to make it all work. Good Luck, Im sure you can figure something out that works for you!

For sure...Between Elchicoloco and Eclipsed4utoo, I'd have to say it was by far one of the greatest writeups i've seen done on these forums...anything you need to know, its there, and how you want to do it...great job guys, much respect!
