1998 dakota air conditioning question

i was recenlty given a 1998 dodge dakota that isnt equipped with air conditioning i love the truck so i want to know if its possible to have air conditoning installed do they make do it yourself kits should i see a mechanic how much any information will be appreciated thank you

I think you have to be licensed to handle freon. I heard that years ago. Dunno though.

There aftermarket kits made for alot of vehicles, it's just finding one that will fit.

the easiest way to equip your vehicle with a/c would be to trade it in on one with a/c already. i dont know how familiar you are with a/c but its a pain if you dont know anything about it. its one of those things that requires quite a bit of skill to manage and figure out if something isnt right.
