72 MGB alignment?

Can the caster and camber be changed on a 72 MGB? If so how?

Thanks, Bill

Re: 72 MGB alignment?

Bill, the MGB doesn't have adjustments for camber or Castor. The B Hive sells negative camber lower wishbone arms. I don't know how much they change the camber but you have to change the toe in setting if you convert to negative camber arms.

Castor wedges are available in England, it changes Castor from the standard 7 degrees to around 4 degrees. I dont have a link but I may be able to find one. If I wanted to change the Castor I would use some flat washers under the front cross-member to chassis mounts to give less positive Castor. It's lots of work and unless you can compute how much shim to add you will have to add some and measure until you get what you want. Remember, if you Go negative on the Castor the car will lose it's excellent directional stability and it will be very easy to turn.
