The car in front is another V-8-powered American race car, a Saleen S7R. The Saleen S7 is the production car.

2006 Esperante Coupe
I was at the Panoz Factory on Monday and I had the honor to be the first non Panoz employee to drive their 2006 Esperante GTLM Coupe. AWESOME the car was amazing! Based on what I saw and experienced on Monday this boutique exotic car company is going to be around for a long long time. Great job Panoz! I will post some factory pictures later.

The # 50 Panoz Esperante GTLM of Robin Liddell and Bill Auberlen finished 2nd in GT2 at Laguna Seca. They had led for several laps.
Liddel was bumped by a GT1 car, but it was still fine.
