Question cs130 alternator

~does a 1994 Z34 come with the cs130? i do believe it does....

~and, does the iceberg conversion kit fit directly to it?

~would the alternator on this car be a single wire?

help..........

Re: cs130 alternator

Yes it does have a CS130

The kit will work, but requires the removing the back of the alternator.

All '87?-and up GM alternators are one wire, and yours will have a 4 pin connector, also.

Re: cs130 alternator

No, if you plan on just upgrading the stock alternator.

Re: cs130 alternator

Looks like what you need. Stock CS130's are junk and overpriced. They just get too hot..

Re: cs130 alternator

One more thing, make sure to "time" the back half of the alternator right. It should at least mention it in the instructions..

Re: cs130 alternator

Alright, so a 94 Z34 does NOT have a cs130 alternator, and that kit will NOT work! the 94 z34 has a cs130-d, and is entirely different, the 130 has 3 thru bolts while the 130-d has 4 and is a different diameter.... the kit will NOT work on 130-d's, as specified....

So, in conclusion.... a 1994 chevy lumina Z34 has a CS130-D..... and i now need to figure out if they will accept returns and have to know figure out another plan of attack and my car is down for another(third)week....
