Neon Springs

will second gen lowering springs work on a first gen car? got a guy going to give me some off a 2000 neon for my 98.

I think they will. I know stock springs will work, so why not aftermarket ones.

The second gen Neons are heavier and sit 1 inch higher in ride height. Springs that lower a 2nd gen 1.5 inches will probably keep your 98 at about the same height it is now. I would be interesting to find out how it handled. You would have the increased spring rate but would retain your suspension travel. You may be on to something good. Let us know how it turns out.
