Idle Adjustment 2000 eclipse
I have 75K miles on my 4cylinder eclipse and it idles really slowly. I replaced the spark plugs and wires and it still idles really slowly and if you turn on the ac in stalls. The dealer plugged it in and said no 'codes' appear at all and nothing is wrong. How can I get it to idle faster?

Is yours a 2000? Because if so wrong forum...But if its a 1g or 2g there's a screw on the throttle body you can adjust.

Re: Idle Adjustment 2000 eclipse
Don't they have the same idle adjustment screw on the throttle bodies of the 2000+ Eclipses too?... Oh hey, look. My Haynes Manual... Lets see what it has to say about the 2000 Eclipses... Hmmm... Ok, it sounds to me like your TPS (throttle position sensor) could be going bad. Here is how you can test it to see if its going bad...
1. Unplug the plug going to the TPS. 2. Take an ohmmeter and connect it to pins 1 and 3. 3. Slowly move the throttle from fully closed to fully open. 4. Your ohmmeter should change smoothly as the throttle valve is moved and the readings should stay within 3.5 - 6.5 k-ohms. Hope that helps ya out.
