Re: Is an alternator a DIY job?

I changed my alternator about two months ago and the whole bit about the removing the radiator is a bunch of bull. You do in fact have to take the cooling fans off to be able to slide alternator out and take off both Top Oil cooler line,Top Tranny Cooler Line, And Top Radiator Hose. I guess if you wanted the extra room you could take it out, but I just had radiator flush before the alternator went and didn't want to waste all of the new anti-freeze. I changed the alternator in about a total of three hours. I bet I could do it faster now that I know how everything comes apart. I wish I could have help sooner...Sorry.
