90 dodge grand caravan id radio parts

Hi there - my car radio died & my son gave me his radio to replace it - I was able to match up all wires but cannot identify this strap looking hook up coming out of the dash that was originally attatched to the outer case of the old radio with a screw. Can I hook up my ground wire to it? I really miss my music - help?

The answer is yes , thats all it did was ground the case of the OEM radio .
