I am an Advanced Level Master Technician with 23 years working on cars. I regret putting all my time and effort into this career field. The general public does not regard my career field as anything more than a menial task, and the dealers and shop owners treat the technicians like dirt. there is little respect for the technician by the bosses, and by the customers. I should have directed my college money and tool money and all the educatioal time towards something else. I know so much about cars, that I only get the jobs that are too hard for anyone else. There is an incredible amount of stress in this career. Nuff said
