Bleeder valve on top of waterpump housing

'95 3.1. Anybody change a waterpump lately? I just changed the entire radiator, thermostat, and new hoses, only to put it all back together and find the waterpump is leaking. Now I picked up a new waterpump and will do that tomorrow, but the bleeder screw on the housing broke off inside the housing. Am I going to need to remove that? Is there anything else I'm going to need besides the new pump and the gasket that came with it?

Thanks,
Ed

Re: Bleeder valve on top of waterpump housing

Here is a trick to remove the air in the cooling system, remove one side of the bypass hose and have someone pour the antifreeze in until it just starts pouring out.Put the one side of the bypass hose that was removed back on and the air in the cooling system should be gone
