Question 87 fiero, ignition module

Would the ignition module on my 87 fiero be my problem? I would hope not as I called a couple of parts stores and it was close to 200.00 for one. But I have read a couple of other threads with problems similar to mine and people have reccommended the ignition module, these were all earlier models than 87 though............Thanks....Ed

Re: 87 fiero, ignition module

Ignition modules are a frequent Fiero problem as are coils. The Fiero store www.fierostore.com has them for $35 however you should get an AC Delco version. Discount Auto has them for a little more. Who ever quoted $200 must have given you a price for a complete distributor.

Re: 87 fiero, ignition module

If you are interested in a cheap (Price I mean) ignition module, let me know. I have a brand new GM one still in the box that I was going to install in my 87 GT but I have since sold the car and have no use for the module. I would sell it to you very cheap since it is too small a part to actually advertise for. Just contact me via my email address on my web site at:

http://members.cox.net/fiero/

I include the web address cause posting my email in chat room causes way too much spam mail.

Thanks
Scott
