Re: Gas tank question

all you have to do is go down to the parts store and buy a new fuel pump. You can take the fuel pump out of the gas tank and switch it.

Re: Gas tank question

was there a model w/ fuel injection? because in the us the 3rd gen civic came with both and the si came with fuel injection and the others came with carbs. what you needed to do with those was get the external pump from the si. if the wasn't fuel injected model then order an aftermarket external one and put it on there just remember to upgrade to high pressure hose

Re: Gas tank question

the thing is that the tank does not have a fuel pump system...i can see the shape were the fuel pump should be but it not cut...it like they made fuel pump spot but forgot to cut it. And if i was to cut the hole fot the pump i may leak.

Soo best way to go is get a tank with the pump ....or could i just put the pump somewear els?

P.S Carbed engines had the pump build by the engine ...it was a vac. pump

Re: Gas tank question

dude...I suggest getting a tank with the pump in it...and the pump you had on before is called a "Mechanical Fuel Pump", I thought ther work off the head of the motor over a rocker...but I guess they had Vac to dont really have a book to find out and my dsl is down and dont feel like searching on 56k...the fuel pump located bac on pasenger side of the gas tank...its not the sending unit that sits right in the middle of the car if you where to remove seat or cargo area depending if you have a hatch or crx...
