electrical problem HELP!!!

ok ya'll i need serious help.

1996 Mazda 626. about a week a go, i noticed my dash lights suddenly weren't working. they worked the night before. that evening a man stops me at a stoplight to advise that i have no tail light either. My break lights are still working though. i have checked my fuses under the dash, and in those under the hood. are there any fuseable links i should check? has anyone else encountered this problem?

One way to get your dash/tail lights working is to run a wire from the hot side wire of one headlight, bact to the hot side of 1 tail light. Install an inline fuse, just to be on the safe side. This happened to my 69 Road Runner many years ago, I did it, I'll guarantee you that this will work, and is safe. Roughly 10 years later, I unhooked that wire from the tail light, and it had mysteriously repaired itself! My 92 Toyota 4X4 truck is running this setup as I write this, with no problems. 1 thing, if your dash lights are out, your tails are out too, these 2 systems are always on the same circuit. It is a safe temporary fix, that can also be permanant, if you can't find the problem, it's no big deal (to me anyway), You MUST have tail lights, or you will be getting a lot of tickets, or worse, you could get poked in the rear some dark night by a big machine rolling at high speed, YOU do NOT want that to happen! Use a 15-20 amp fuse close to the head light. Good Luck Bud! Ric

no ground at tns relay as a result of a bad connection in the combo switch.
you'll need a combo switch. there may have even been a recall for this on some... can't remember. eitherway check for ground on switch side of tns relay.
i don't reccomend running a wire off of your headlights as previously described.
