Raced A Supercharged Thunderbird

Yesterday on my way home from work i saw this early 90 thunderbird and it sounded mean and it had a t45 badge on the back and i was wtf is it. So in provoked him and we raced from a roll and he took me and i ended up riding his ass the whole way though, well at the next light i roll my window down and he says my car is fast and i tell him my mods and he was surprised i kept up, he had a twin screw supercharged sb, i don't know what size, but we raced this time from a stop and i ended up taking him all the way up to 90 and thats when we backed down, so my car held it's own, i would have thought he would have taken me from a dig but he didn't.

Re: Raced A Supercharged Thunderbird

I havent been to the track yet. I've been wanting to go but with school, 2 jobs, and 2 girls its freaking hard. But the previous owner said he got it down to 12.4 in the 1/4.

Re: Raced A Supercharged Thunderbird

Thats fast for a Tbird. If it had a T45 trans, than it was a 4.6 motor. That trans will only bolt up to that block.

12.4 is damn fast for an LT1 running stock heads & cam... you must have the full rear end suspension and one hell of a good tune (not some $50 map). Still... 12.4 on stock heads and cam - that must be all 60ft times right there.

Hey NICE RACE! - those SC's on their own were no losers, and if this guy had his done up maybe then maybe the Z will do 12's...

The whole new suspension was put in when the previous owner put a new rear end with gears.

I've driven my freinds lt1 and this one just seems like a freak of nature. and yes he had it dyno tuned, he gave me all these papers i have to find.

He said he was running low 13's but when he had the new suspension put in it dropped his time.

I was surprised when the owner told me he had a twin screw supercharger. i thought he would have smoked me?
