84 deville map sensor

I get a code 34. Map sensor.

Where does the vacume line go into the passanger compartment.

Trying to locate it has been a treat. Autozone's system had it in the engine bay, passanger side, bolted to the fenderwell. After hours of searching.

My Haynes said it was sometimes under the dash. It is behind the glove box.
The I found no vacume hose connected to it.

Supposedly the hose comes out of the throttle body.

Is this correct? Was thinking of running my own line.

The may be 2 sensors behind the glove box, one is a baro sensor, no hose and the other one is the map of course.

Would it be the same sensor? It looks just like the one Autozone had for it.

If I apply a light suction to it, the engine does change pitch.

Re: 84 deville map sensor

they are not the same sensor. If memory serves me correctly the original sensors were round, but I would doubt you still have the original ones on the car. they do look identical, but one does have a vacuum hose routed to it, the other does not.
